An otherwise ordinary weekend turned into a historic moment for many NFL fans in Las Vegas. Cam Little, a kicker wearing a Jacksonville Jaguars jerseys, scored a 68-yard field goal in overtime during the team's victory over the Raiders. This is a new NFL field goal record!
Previously, the record was held by Justin Tucker. In 2021, Tucker, wearing a Baltimore Ravens jerseys, scored the longest field goal at 66 yards, a record he held for four years. Tucker subsequently earned a Pro Bowl selection, an All-Pro First Team honor, and was named one of the NFL's Top 100 Players in 2022. The following year, he became the league's highest-paid kicker.
Now, a new record has been set. And 22-year-old Cam Little enjoyed one of the most exciting moments of the season in the process. Previously, Cam Little's longest shot was only 59 yards, and he set a record on his first attempt at a shot over 60 yards.
