Fans wearing Philadelphia Eagles jerseys, like their beloved club, suffered a scare yesterday. Their star left guard, Landon Dickerson, suffered a knee injury during Sunday's practice. He was helped off the field and then carted off the field.

The Eagles did not disclose the extent of Dickerson's injury after practice. ESPN reported that Dickerson underwent an MRI and found a meniscus injury in his right knee. There were concerns that this injury could jeopardize his season. If Dixon is out for a long time, it will be a major blow to the Eagles' top offensive line in the league.

But then there were reports that Dickerson's problem was not as serious as thought and he would undergo minimally invasive surgery on his right knee. If his recovery goes smoothly, Dickerson, wearing the No. 69 nfl jersey, is expected to be available for the Eagles' season opener against Dallas on September 4th.
